Bashville Site Rules

Everyone on site must follow the rules below. These are for the safety & comfort of everyone and to help us protect the beautiful, organic cattle property which we’re privileged to use as our venue for the Big Red Bash.

No Vehicle Movements in the Campsite

Vehicles in the campground must stay parked and stationary at all times, until roll out begins 7am Friday 13th July. For more details on entry & exit from the campground, see Camping Overview.

Camp fires are permitted. Bring your own firewood supply as collection on the surrounding property is prohibited. A limited supply of firewood is sold on site.

Fires must be kept to a reasonable size for safety purposes (i.e., no bonfires), and must be put out with water (not buried in the sand). Chainsaws are prohibited.

Bins are provided in the concert & plaza areas for use by pedestrians, however campers must take all their campsite rubbish with them and dispose of it at the Birdsville tip after the event, which is located on the road back to town.

Please ensure that you take all your rubbish with you. Prior crowds have been amazing and left their campsites perfectly clean!

In 2018 we will improve our sustainability practices with a recycling system for aluminium cans in the concert area. Place your empty cans in the recycle bins during the concert and help us look after the environment.

Banks of portaloos are provided around the campground plus large toilet trucks in the plaza and concert areas. These will be serviced regularly.

If you have a caravan with a toilet we ask that you use this whenever you can to help us with overall toilet capacity and servicing.

There is no running water available on site. Please bring your own. Food vendors will sell bottled water, but this would be an expensive option if you were solely relying on it.

Bashville is held on an organic cattle property and therefore your are NOT PERMITTED to dispose of ANY grey water on the ground.

If you’re unable to store and remove all your grey water, you can make use of the grey water disposal tanks at each toilet block. If doing this, bring a 20L container to carry your grey water to the nearest disposal tank.

You must take ALL your black water back to the dump points near Birdsville. There is no black water disposal anywhere at the Big Red Bach site. Do not put black water in the grey water disposal tanks or portaloos.

There are no showers at the Bashville campsite. We recommend wet wipes or similar to keep clean and fresh during the event.

Showers are available in Birdsville at the caravan park (park patrons only) or opposite the Sports Hall for a small fee, so if you think you’ll need a shower during the event you could plan a trip to town on the shuttle bus or in your own vehicle (if parked in day parking).

Only allowed between the hours of 8am and 8pm.

BYO Alcohol is permitted but NOT IN GLASS.

It’s a concert not a booze up, so please drink responsibly! Anyone who is intoxicated and causing a nuisance will be removed from the venue.

Prohibited Items

No glass anywhere on site. This includes wine bottles, beverage glasses - anything made of glass! If you have glass in your camping setup, leave it in your vehicle, van or trailer.

No animals, except dogs, anywhere on site. If you’re bringing a dog, see dog friendly attendance rules.

Prohibited Items in the Concert Area:
  • Metal cutlery (including cheese knives)
  • Umbrellas
  • Tables, sunshades, tents or anything that will obstruct views of the stage
  • Aerosols

There will be bag checks as you enter the concert area and prohibited items will be confiscated. Organisers will not take responsibility for confiscated items.

Lighting / Torches

We strongly recommend that you bring a head torch or similar to the concert so you can find your way back to camp. The concert and main plaza areas have lighting, however the general campsite and Day Parking areas will not.

Aircraft & Drones

No unauthorised aircraft or drones/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).

There will be a helicopter and approved UAV/Drones operating during the festival. For safety reasons no other aircraft or drones are allowed over the festival or surrounding property.

Unregistered Vehicles

Unregistered motorbikes, buggies or other vehicles are not to be used on the concert venue or surrounding property. The concert is on private land and Queensland Police and security will be in attendance.
