The camping is a great wide level area on the dry lakebed of Lake Nappanerica on the eastern side of Big Red, which is easily reached from the main dirt road that leads from Birdsville to Big Red.
There is plenty of room for everyone who wants to camp, and don't worry about the lake too much, it only fills up every 50 years or so, and the last time it had water was recently so it's likely to be quite a while before that happens again - touch wood!
The campsite will be open for entry from Tuesday 4th July from 9am.
We are also offering an early camp roll in for a limited number of vehicles, so that you can arrive at the Big Red campsite and set up camp from 9am on Monday 3rd July. There is a per vehicle charge of $80 for this to cover the costs of providing facilities for the extra day, and to recognise that these early camp roll in passes will enable an earlier selection of your desired campsite. You need to have purchased your Big Red Bash concert ticket first, and when you have done that if you would like to arrive early and secure your campsite you can purchase an early camp roll in pass for your vehicle.
