I purchased Pay Over Time tickets, and want to attend the 2021 event. What happens to the rest of my instalments?

The April, May and June 2020 instalments for pay over time have now been put on hold, and these instalments will now be deferred to 1st October, 1st November and 1st December. This is to allow all Pay Over time ticket holders up to 30 September to decide whether or not they want a refund. Instalments will re-commence from 1st October for all those Pay Over Time tickets that have not been refunded.

I purchased Booking Protect ticket insurance when I originally bought my tickets. Is this still valid?

Yes! If you are retaining your ticket for 2021 and have paid for Booking Protect when you purchased your ticket then it remains valid and in place for the event in 2021 just as your ticket does.

I have a family or youth or child ticket. My youth will turn 18 or my child will turn 12 before the 2021 event. Do I now need to purchase an adult or youth ticket?

No. We will honour all tickets based on the age of the ticket holder at the time of the 2020 event. You do not need to do anything to upgrade the ticket - you’ll simply be given the appropriate wristbands at the 2021 event.

I have another ticket type - Rock ‘n’ Roll Road Trip bus package, Bushfire Relief Ticket Package. Is there specific info available for me?

Yes - these ticket holders will have all received specific communication regarding their ticket and circumstances. Please check the email you used when purchasing tickets or paying deposits for further info.

I’m a volunteer. What happens to my arrangements?

All volunteers have been sent an email explaining the roll over arrangements. Please check your junk mail if you haven’t received this info, or you can email brbvolunteers@eventsafetyservices.com.au

I had applied for Disability camping. What happens to this application?

If you have registered for disability camping, your registration will automatically roll over to 2021. You don’t need to do anything.

I can’t attend the 2021 Big Red Bash.

How do I request a refund?

To allow you plenty of time to decide whether or not you are able to come in 2021, you can request a refund at any time up to 30 September 2020.

If you are no longer able to attend the 2021 Big Red Bash, please request a refund via OZTIX here.

Please allow 10 to 15 working days for this refund to be provided as OZTIX are working through refunds and changes to virtually every event they do ticketing for over the next few months. Please be patient and only follow OZTIX up after the 15 day period if you haven’t received a refund by then.

Please note that due to the current backlog of work from a large number of cancelled and postponed events all dealings with OZTIX during this time is by email only.

I had my 2020 ticket refunded, but have changed my mind and would like to purchase tickets to the 2021 event. Am I able to do this?

Yes, anyone is able to purchase tickets for the 2021 event, subject to availability.

I have Pay Over Time Tickets and would like a refund.

You can request a refund at any time up to 30 September (see questions above). If you request a refund you will receive your first two instalments back, excluding booking, processing and OZTIX Pay Over Time admin fees.

Please use the same process as explained under “How do I request a refund” to have your Pay Over Time tickets refunded.

How long do I have to be able to claim a refund?

You can request a refund on your 2020 ticket at any time up to and including 30 September 2020. We've provided this 6 month timeframe for availability of refunds to allow you plenty of time to decide if you are able to attend in 2021.

How is my refund paid to me?

Your refund will be credited to the credit card used to purchase your tickets. If that card is no longer valid you will need to provide OZTIX with details of a new card to enable the payment.

What happens to the premium I have paid for Booking Protect for my ticket insurance?

If you are requesting a refund of your ticket and have paid for Booking Protect, the insurer is not providing a refund as they have been providing coverage under this policy since you purchased your ticket.

Booking Protect is an optional insurance product that you can take out at time of ticket purchase and is provided by a third party. Booking Protect does not provide any cover related to cancelled events. It only provides cover for a range of personal circumstances that may prevent you from attending the event as set out in their Terms & Conditions of the Booking Protect cover.

If you are retaining your ticket for 2021 and have paid for Booking Protect when you purchased your ticket then it remains valid and in place for the event in 2021 just as your ticket does.

Any tickets purchased through Tixel resale can request a refund through Tixel. Tixel will be in touch with all Tixel ticket purchasers to advise refund arrangements.

Can I use Tixel to buy or sell tickets for 2021?
